The Proficiency Testing Institute adheres to the spirit of punctiliousness, professionalism,
innovation and service-orientation in striving to establish a fair, impartial, and
open system for measuring expertise in banking and finance, as a means of raising
the quality of Taiwan’s financial personnel and facilitating the pursuit of lifelong
learning.

In 2009, the Institute conducted 20 sittings of written professional tests, 2,157
sittings of computer-based testing, and 100 sittings of the Financial Markets Common
Sense and Professional Ethics Test, receiving a total of 122,010 registrations to
sit these tests. The Institute also conducted 22 staff recruitment and internal
promotion tests under commission from various institutions and carried out three
types of international certification testing commissioned by certifying bodies abroad.
