The establishment of TABF as a non-profit training and research foundation in the field of banking and finance came as an outcome of decade long financial reforms in Taiwan. This emerging institute has spurred increasing demand for quality banking services and helped professional bankers better equipped to tackle today's highly dynamic and competitive environment ever since its establishment.

Along with the plan to build a knowledge-based economy for the 21st century, the government and the banks have committed to promoting financial innovation through continuous financial liberalization and enhancement in supervision. With that purpose in mind, TABF has strived to carry out its activities all aimed at bring in knowledge on financial organization, process and product innovation, together with modern skills on supervision. We would like to contribute our share in the making of a sound and prudent financial sector that would in turn determine a healthy and sustainable growth of our economy.
